Macro Magic: Capturing Dahlia Details

from $18.75

This workshop taught by Lois Van Reese will focus on Macro photography during this beautiful dahlia season. There will be an emphasis on composition, lighting and focus. While our current cell phones take amazing photos, this class will be utilizing DSLR/mirrorless cameras or a point and shoot. While not required, a tripod for your camera is helpful particularly when honing your focus skills.

Bio: I have been shooting for over 40 years with all types of formats and cameras. My current camera is a Canon EOS R mirrorless. While I love shooting all subjects, my desired subjects are flowers and greenery utilizing macro skills. I have spent many hours at Bullington Gardens during all seasons and particularly love the dahlias.

Thursday Sept 25th (rain date Friday Sept 26), 2025, 9:00-10:30 a.m.
