This researched and thoughtfully designed enabling garden is a beautiful, peaceful spot and a source of healing to those with physical or mental limitations. The garden features increase gardening access to those who can not garden at home.
The garden features raised flower beds to allow gardening while being seated and wheelchair accessible beds. The newly constructed pavilion will be the site of programs and picnics. The adjacent water feature creates an atmoshphere of serenity. A small wheelchair accessible greenhouse is still planned in this garden that will serve as an activity space and growing area.
Some areas of the therapy garden will be planted with plants that are highly scented or have tactile elements deemed necessary by the American Horticultural Therapy Association.
